EMPORIA, KS- Matthew Storer closed the Outdoor Track & Field season as he competed in the 5000m at the National Championships in Kansas on Saturday. The junior brought home his ninth All American honor of his career, claiming 14th in the competitive event amongst the best in the country.
Storer took on an elite field of competition, battling in the difficult distance race. The junior was stellar yet again, running a time of 15:08.26 to claim Second Team All American honors. Storer closes his junior campaign with his eighth and ninth All American distinctions as he continues a tremendous career for the Cougars.
With the end of the track and field season, the final spring sport has wrapped competition for the year. It has been an extremely successful one for the Cougars, with six outdoor all american distinctions awarded.
