DENVER, CO- The Cougars closed the 2025 campaign on Wednesday night with a matchup at crosstown rival MSU Denver. The Roadrunners proved too much as they claimed a 3-0 victory on their home turf.
MSUD came out firing early with four quick shots, but
Campbell Wolfgram was up to the task with a save in the sequence.
Lucas Peruzo missed a shot wide left moments later as things remained level.
Tiago Gomes later missed high, and the Roadrunners broke through in the 39th minute to make it 1-0 heading into halftime.
The hosts continued to pressure and netted a second goal in the 58th minute.
Iasonas Nikolaidis had a shot, and Peruzo had another go before a third goal found the back of the net for MSU Denver in the 73rd. Gomes forced a save late in the game, but it was not enough in the 3-0 setback.
The Cougars finished the 2025 season with an overall record of 2-13-3 with a 2-6-2 mark in the RMAC.
