LAKEWOOD, CO- The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) announced their Cross Country Academic All-Conference First Team on Thursday, and for the third year in a row
Klay Grant and
Matthew Storer were honored for their work in the classroom and on the course.
Grant earns his third straight First Team Academic All-RMAC honor after once again achieving a perfect 4.00 Grad Point Average in English History. The senior had a stellar season, finishing 24th at the prestigious Lewis Crossover before running a 32:03 at Regionals to help his team to their sixth straight appearance at Nationals. He closed there with a 94th place finish as CCU claimed seventh as a team, the second best finish in program history.
Storer claims First Team Academic All-Conference for the third consecutive season as he boasted a 3.71 undergraduate GPA and currently has a 4.00 in his Master's degree in Business. It was yet another fantastic year for Matt as he won the opening meet of the season before taking second at the Lewis Crossover. After finishing 9th at Regionals, Matt led his team to a seventh place finish at the National Championships with a 28th place finish to claim All-American honors for the fourth straight year in cross country.
