LAKEWOOD, CO- The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) announced their Academic All-RMAC team for softball on Tuesday, and after excellent seasons both on the field and in the classroom,
Hanna Espinoza and
Camryn Quilling earned a spot on the First Team.
Espinoza boasts an impressive 4.00 Grade Point Average in Business as she has excelled in her studies. The sophomore was invaluable for her team, showing an uncanny ability to come in when things look to be going downhill and righting the ship and providing clutch outings. Hanna posted three wins and eight saves during the course of the season with an ERA of 1.90 as she closed out games in incredible fashion. With 55.1 innings of work, Espinoza struck out 29 batters to help her team in many nervy situations.
Quilling earned a spot on the First Team with a GPA of 3.66 in Kinesiology. The senior was a leader for her team all year, boasting a perfect fielding percentage in center field and coming through time and time again at the plate with clutch hits. With 108 catches, 104 putouts and four assists in the outfield, Camryn was perfect as she routinely made diving catches look easy on balls that were sinking or tailing away from her. With a .359 batting average, Quilling blasted seven homers to tally 35 RBI and a WHIP of 1.024 as she was paramount to the teams' success this season as they reclaimed the RMAC Tournament Title.
