SALT LAKE CITY, CO- Colorado Christian closed their roadtrip on Sunday with an RMAC matchup at Westminster in Utah. The teams fought the full 90 minutes, but neither conceded a goal as the match ended in a 0-0 tie.
The Griffins came out on the front foot, pressuring the back line and keeper
Mia Mares early and often. The Cougars were up to the task, and after an Ella Salsberry shot missed right,
Ava Dinverno had a shot on goal saved to keep things level. A save by Mares sealed a scoreless first half as the whistle blew after 45 minutes of play.
Westminster pressed early in the second half, forcing Mares to make some saves in between the posts, and one last attempt from the Griffins did not find its' target as the teams ended in a 0-0 draw.
CCU now returns home to face UCCS on October 3 at 11 a.m. MST at Trailblazer Stadium.
