ALAMOSA, CO- The Cougars closed their series at Adams State on Sunday with a single contest against the Grizzlies. CCU could not get the offense going as they fell in the finale 14-2.
Colorado Christian got on the scoreboard in the first inning as
Lukas Hinze scored after a throwing error from the Grizzlies for the 1-0 advantage. Adams State responded in the second with a big inning, plating 6 runs off a single, double and three-run homer.
ASU would score four more runs in the next two innings to take control before the final Cougar run came across in the fifth as
Brandon Schramm scored on a balk. Four runs in the fifth from the Grizzlies ended things early as they claimed the 14-4 victory.
