Lakewood, CO – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) announced the Academic Athlete of the Year for the 2025-26 Indoor Track and Field Season, and after yet another strong season,
Matthew Storer has earned Academic Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Year.
Storer's final Indoor season was nothing short of exceptional. The Colorado native would open at Western Colorado, running a national qualifier in the 5k, followed by a national provisional in the 3k next meet at Colorado. Storer would elect to race the 5k at the RMAC Championships, posting an impressive 14:58 at 7,723 feet, fighting his way to a second place RMAC finish. Storer would close out his Indoor career at Nationals in Virginia Beach, racing the 5k and posting an 18
th place finish, his
4th indoor national appearance in 4 years. All this while managing a perfect GPA studying a master's in business. CCU's most decorated athlete, Storer has proven the ability to compete at the highest level in athletics and academics.
