Lakewood, CO – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) announced the Academic Athlete of the Year for the 2025-26 Indoor Track and Field Season, and after yet another strong season, Matthew Storer has earned Academic Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Year. 

Storer's final Indoor season was nothing short of exceptional. The Colorado native would open at Western Colorado, running a national qualifier in the 5k, followed by a national provisional in the 3k next meet at Colorado. Storer would elect to race the 5k at the RMAC Championships, posting an impressive 14:58 at 7,723 feet, fighting his way to a second place RMAC finish. Storer would close out his Indoor career at Nationals in Virginia Beach, racing the 5k and posting an 18^th place finish, his 4^th indoor national appearance in 4 years. All this while managing a perfect GPA studying a master's in business. CCU's most decorated athlete, Storer has proven the ability to compete at the highest level in athletics and academics.
