Why is playing your sport at CCU important to you? How is it different from your other competitive experiences?
CCU is important to me because I love the game of basketball. I get to learn more about the game in a competitive and challenging setting. At CCU the environment is full of friendly people and the focus is placed not simply on the sport but more importantly on God and serving him.
What kind of legacy are you hoping to leave at CCU after your career is over?
When i am finished at CCU i want everyone to remember the name Joshua Sweeting. I want them to think of a guy who loved God and loved others in everything he did. I want to be remembered as the kindest man people knew.
In what ways have you changed as a result of your time as a CCU Athlete?
My first year at CCU really helped develop me as a player and hone my skills. It also challenged me in my faith. One of the biggest impacts of CCU was the community and family that i had in my fellow teammates and coaches.
Who has been most influential in your spiritual, academic, or athletic development as a CCU student-athlete?
For me, my old basketball coach Dave Daniels really showed me how to live a Christian life and was an incredible example to me not only spiritually but also athletically.
