Dana Streufert played four years at Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, GA from 2008-2011. During her time there she received NCCAA All-Region and All-American honors. Following her playing career, Streufert joined the coaching staff at Covenant College and was the full-time assistant for the women’s soccer program from 2012-2015. She currently holds her United Soccer Coaches Advanced National Coaching Diploma.
In 2011, Streufert received her bachelor’s degree in sociology with minors in business and sports ministry from Covenant College. In 2015, Streufert completed her MBA, with a sports administration concentration from Belhaven University.
In 2016, Streufert moved to Denver to work for Rush Soccer, a global soccer brand, as the P.R. & Marketing Director. While working at Rush, Streufert began coaching at Colorado Christian University (CCU) as a volunteer assistant in the spring of 2017. Since then, she has become much more involved in the technical training aspects of the program as a part-time assistant. Streufert had this to say about her involvement with CCU Women’s Soccer: “Being in an environment where a high level of excellence on the field is implemented for the purposes of glorifying God in all things has been a refreshing addition to my time in Colorado. I am so grateful for this opportunity to invest in college athletes as they grow in their faith and in soccer.” Outside of coaching, Streufert now works as the Communications Manager at Hope House Colorado, a nonprofit organization that helps teen moms reach self-sufficiency.
Coach McPherson on Streufert: “Dana has an incredible mind for the game and is passionate about coaching in a Christian environment. She is a tremendous technical coach and has done an amazing job helping our players grow in this area of their game.”
