Beyond the Jersey
- INSPIRATIONAL PERSON OR QUOTE & WHY | '“The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust, sweat, and blood, who strives valiantly, who errors [...], because there is no effort without error and shortcoming, [...] his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory or defeat.' --- Teddy Roosevelt. This quote has always been one of my life quotes because it reminds me that life is never meant to be easy, but it should transform you. To be transformed we must pursue and stumble towards hard, worthy things. Apathy not failure, is the real enemy.”
- FAVORITE CCU MOMENT & WHY | “I will never forget the soccer team's mission trip to Costa Rica my freshman year. That was where I began to see the hand of God moving on my team and in my heart as an athlete. It was wonderful to use the global sport of soccer to reach people with the gospel.”
- OUTSIDE OF SPORTS | Outside of sports, Miller enjoys painting, writing, and mountaineering.
- WHY DID YOU CHOOSE CCU | “I chose CCU simply because God told me to, but I also loved the academic and soccer programs. He promised he would make a way for me to experience both.”
- FAMILY TIES | My mom was a long-time cross country and basketball coach. She also ran track at CSU back in the day. Now she is a principal at a classical, charter school. My father was an impressive endurance athlete as a climber, bicyclist, and runner. Later in his life he started his own business as a luxury home builder.”
- POST COLLEGE DREAMS | “I plan on being a global writer/ journalist for Christian missions.”
