CCU Volleyball struggled offensively against Western State dropping three sets 25-15, 25-21, and 27-25. The Mountaineers had already took a game from the Cougars earlier in the season on their home court, and this was Christians' chance to do the same.
Colo. Christian suffered in the first set with 11 kills and six errors, while Western had 16 kills and only one error making their hitting percentage .455. WSCU had five blocks to CCU's two.
The second set continued to go downhill for the Lady Cougars who tried to find their rhythm, but were unable to connect in the front row. They hit a .141 compared to Western's .320.
Outside hitter
Connie Olson led at the net with eight kills and libero
Joelle LeFevre responded on defense with 12 digs.
Sophia Proano stood out hitting a .250 on the night. CCU had six blocks and 47 digs total in all three sets.
The Cougars may have dropped this match, but they will be back with claws out on October 24
th at 6PM in the CCU Event Center playing against CSU-Pueblo.
