The University of Colorado at Colorado Springs came down to Lakewood to face off with CCU and was able to defeat them by a final score of 2-0. UCCS earned their conference leading tenth victory on the year. This was the second matchup on the year between the two teams as they faced off a little over a month ago in Colorado Springs. UCCS also was victorious on that day 1-0.

Colorado Christian did their best to survive an offensive onslaught put on them by the Mountain Lions in the first half. CCU goalkeeper
Claire LaValley saw 22 shots in the first half with 11 making it back to her. UCCS scored their first goal late in the first half, and then added their second goal five minutes into the second period. The stout defense of the Mountain Lions was unrelenting as the Cougars were unable to get anything going.

With the loss CCU drops to 0-13-2 on the year and 0-11-1 in conference play. The Cougars will get another chance this weekend as they will take on Western State Sunday afternoon. The game will be played at Trailblazer Stadium in Lakewood, CO. The game will also be senior day for Colorado Christian. So come out and support your seniors. Â
