Calvin Beck got the day started on a positive note as he blasted a shot past the Skyhawk goalkeeper and into the back of the net to give CCU the early 1-0 lead. With five minutes left until halftime, Fort Lewis scored the equalizer and then with 45 seconds left they took the lead on when they scored another goal on a breakaway. Heading into half, they were still within striking distance down 2-1.

The Skyhawks played suffocating defense in the second half, which stifled the Cougar offense and left them with very few opportunities to get back into the game. FLC scored two goals within a two minute span of each other halfway through the second half, which slammed the door shut on any comeback attempt for Colorado Christian.

The loss drops the Cougars to 1-14-1 on the year. Their next game is a mid-week affair as they will take on Colorado School of Mines at home on Wednesday. Game time is scheduled for 4PM MST. The game will be senior appreciation day, so come out to Trailblazer Stadium and support your Cougars for their final home game of the year!
