The first period was controlled by Westminster, but the Cougars were never out of the loop. They did a good job at keeping their composure, though being downed by the Griffins the entire twenty minutes.

Ty McGee led defensively with four rebounds.
Blue and gold took a while to find their rhythm against the very talented Westminster Griffins, but ended the first period strong being down 10 points but then retaliating by getting a three from Stefan Hackelthal and a bucket by
Andre Lane making the score 38-33 Westminster.
There was not much change to the game as WC continued to run the court outshooting CCU in field goals and three-pointers. Griffins shot 41.9% FG, 29.4% 3FG, and 75.7% FT. Christian went 31.4% FG, 22.7% 3FG, and beat Westminster going 79.4% from the line. Griffin guard, Kenny Woodard was unstoppable on offense scoring 21 points.
Despite the loss, CCU had Westminster on their toes in the last five minutes of the game. For over four in-a-half minutes, Christian stopped the Griffins from scoring. WC was up 61-52 at 5:48 as the Cougars started a huge comeback with efforts from
Ty McGee, and a huge foul by Westminstercausing several free throws made by McCullough which put the score at 61-58 with a minute ten left.
Colo. Christian could not seal the deal in the end. Leaders in this game were
Wayne McCullough with 18 points, going 12-12 from the line, and four steals.
Jacob Taylor following with 11 points and the team high in rebounds of seven. Shooting guard Zach McClemore scored 10, and

Coach
Kevin Lubbers on the game "We are far too inconsistent on both ends of the floor to be competitive. This league will chew you up and spit you out if you are not consistent on both ends. Right now, that's exactly what is happening."
CCU will be playing Colorado Mesa on Satruday 12/19 at 7:30 PM. This game will be streamed live through Comcast.
