CCU fell short on Sunday afternoon as they lost 4-0 against CSU Pueblo. The scoring got underway nearly twenty minutes into the first period when a pass was deflected into the net by a CCU defender. Three minutes later the Thunderwolves struck again when Senior Mid-fielder TJ Thiebaut centered a pass to teammate Matt Marchena who scored his first of two goals on the day.
Marchena Led the way offensively for CSU Pueblo, as he managed to fire thirteen shots at goal, seven of them reaching CCU goalie
Brandon Eide. CSU added one more goal before halftime to lead 3-0 heading into the break. The second half was a defensive battle, but CCU was unable to get anything by the Thunderwolves goalkeeper Sam Haseltine. CCU failed to get any rhythm going on offense as they were outshot 25-12 on the day.
