Colorado Christian University Men's Soccer lost a tough game on Sunday afternoon, falling 1-0 to Metro State in Denver. Offense was tough to come by for the Cougars, as they were outshot on the day 27-5, but a solid effort in goal from junior
Brandon Eide kept the game close throughout.
The opening score of the game did not come until late in the second half when Josh Belfrage sent a shot past Eide in what turned out to be the lone score of the game. Roadrunner goalie Hayden Rus earned his second shutout on the year to improve the Roadrunners to 5-2-1 on the year and 3-1 in RMAC play.
The loss drops the CCU to 0-8 on the year and 0-4 in conference. The Cougars' next matchup is a home affair, as they will take on South Dakota School of Mines on Friday. Game time is scheduled for 12:30PM MST.
