Colorado Christian Women's Soccer picked up their first loss of 2015 Monday, falling 5-2 to the Lions of Saint Leo University in Saint Leo, FL.
 
Though CCU sophomore Tristyn Hall gave the Cougars a 1-0 lead with less than five minutes off the first half clock, the home Lions responded with an aggressive attack that included three goals on nine shots in the opening period. Christian keeper Shaya Lawrence notched three saves in the half, but SLU still took a 3-1 lead into the break.
 
The Lions owned the second half as well, putting two more on the board on just two shot attempts. CCU tallied three shots in the period, scoring once on a Meghan Troupe dart past the SLU goalie, but their efforts weren't enough to assure Colorado Christian the win.
 
The Cougar squad will return home Tuesday, quickly focusing on Thursday's home-opener against Western Oregon. CCU will square off against the Wolves at 11:30.
