CCU Volleyball was defeated by the #1 undefeated Metro State Roadrunners in four sets on Saturday night. It was a point for point match filled with good volleyball and unknown outcomes.

The first three sets finished within two points, and the third within three. Metro won the first and second 25-23, 28-26, and then CCU won the third 26-24, but lost the fourth 22-25.

Standing out on CCU's side of the court was #10 middle hitter
Hope Baldrica. Baldrica made no errors with 11 kills hitting .458%. She had two solo blocks and three block assists. Senior outside hitter #9
Mollie Bailey dominated in the back row digging 22 balls.

Kylee Wurster ran the Cougs offense scoring four kills herself, hitting .444%. Wurster had 47 assists and 12 digs. Despite the loss, CCU played up to their opponent's level, and hit over .200% as a team.

The roadrunners block was strong totaling nine team blocks. Metro's star player Michaela Smith had 20 kills proving to be unstoppable. CCU's right side hitter
Sophia Proano had a team high of 12 kills.

th playing Regis University. The Rangers rank fourth in the RMAC with a record of 9-4. Game time is set for 6:00 PM.
