Men's soccer headed to Golden on Wednesday night to take on Colorado School of Mines. The Orediggers got the best of the Cougars on the night as they defeated CCU by a final score of 6-0.
 
It was a one-sided conference affair as Mines used a non-stop offensive attack to score at will on the night. The CCU defense did their best, and through the first 30 minutes of the game as the score remained deadlocked 0-0. However Mines broke free in the 34^th minute when CSM forward Trevor Amann scored his first of three goals on the night, which gave Mines the 1-0 lead. CSM added one more goal before the break to take a 2-0 lead heading into halftime.
 
The Orediggers offensive attack continued in the second half as they added four more goals to complete the 6-0 shutout of the Cougars. CCU was outshot in the game 36-8.
 
Colorado Christian will now prepare for their final game of the regular season which will be played on Sunday Oct. 30^th at Trailblazer stadium in Lakewood, CO. They will be taking on CSU-Pueblo for the second time this season. In their previous matchup, the Cougars were victorious 2-1 back on Sep. 16^th in Pueblo.
