Colorado Christian Tennis debuted their 2016-2017 season on their home court at Lakewood Park on Saturday afternoon. The Cougs battled Midland University, a NAIA University from Fremont, NE.
 
Women's Tennis defeated the Warriors 8-1 playing a strong game in all areas even with facing some adversity. The Cougs took all three doubles matches winning 8-6, 8-2, and 8-5 (see results below).
 
Head Coach John Goodrich commented:
 
"The women stepped up big as we were missing some players due to injury, but we have the luxury of being really deep and it showed as the ladies still dominated."
 
Men's Tennis lost vs Midland 4-5, but held their heads high as they saw improvements in their play already this season. Doubles teams Ryder Searle and Nic Hoime won 8-3, along with Trent Strietelmeier and partner Barrett Cooper 8-6. In singles, Nic Hoime and Ryder Searle were the only Cougars to win their matches.  
 
"The men's team did exactly what we have been talking about and that's coming out strong in doubles. They played well in singles and I am excited about the direction we are going!"
