CCU Volleyball won their non-conference match vs the Colorado College Tigers in four sets. Colorado College is a D3 Institution located in Colorado Springs, and their volleyball team was 14-2 going into their match vs the Cougars.

Colorado Christian and Colorado College have a long history of competing against each other in the fall and spring seasons. In the 2015 fall season, the Cougs were defeated by the Tigers for the first time in five sets. This year, blue and gold faced the same tough Tiger squad, but with a huge block and consistent offense, the Cougars got their fifth consecutive win this season.

CCU had an incredible 12 team blocks, with #16 MH
Angela Jurek contributing seven block assists and then three solos. There were four Cougars that had amazing offensive games. #3 OH
Taylor Sturms smashed 13 kills and hit .270%. #9 OH
Mollie Bailey had the only double-double of the night with 16 kills and 14 digs, and then #5 RS
Sophia Proano also totaled 13 kills, hitting .300%. Last but not least, #10
Hope Baldrica hit an amazing .600% with ten kills and two blocks.

Kylee Wurster was strong in every area of her game making 48 assists (no errors), three blocks, 10 digs, and three kills. Against Colorado College, every single player on the Cougar court played at a high level and proved to be unstoppable and unbeatable.

"We always enjoy playing Colorado College. They are a well coached team, but this time our block was able to limit them offensively and our hitters had a great night all the way around."

The Cougars will be playing Adams State University and Fort Lewis College this weekend at the CCU Event Center. On Friday night the Cougars will be promoting their Dig Pink Night, where t-shirts will be sold for $8 and donations accepted. All the proceeds will go towards the fight against breast cancer.
