The Cougars won 104-97 against the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. CCU's Ty McGee and Brett Brady were on fire throughout the entire game dominating the scoring for Christian. McGee had 35 points going 12-35, 4-5 from downtown, and 7-11 from the line. Brady scored 24 points going 7-13, 4-7 from three, and 6-7 the line. It was stellar performances from the two athletes, resulting in CCU's fourth conference win.

The Cougs started the game off with some major momentum from two big dunks by Jonathan Stevens, a few threes by Brett Brady, and several made free throws by blue and gold. Christian took the lead instantly and grew it to a large point differential of 20 in the last minute of the first half. CCU went into the locker room up 51-36.

CCU stayed consistent in the second half, playing aggressive defense and offense. They led by an average of 14 points until the last ten minutes when UCCS started chipping away. With 11 minutes on the clock still, CCU was up by 17 points, until the Mountain Lions went on a scoring summary that closed the gap to only seven. Although never gaining the lead, UCCS did come close to Christian by two points with two minutes left at 91-89, but could not get over the hump. CCU protected the ball to win the game 104-97.

UCCS outscored Christian in the second half 61-53. Head Coach Kevin Lubbers said, "Great road win. Our guys did enough to hang on for the result we wanted. We had a hard time stringing together stops in the second half which is what had helped us so much in the first half. We have another big game tomorrow."

CCU senior Dimitri Saliba had six assists. Jacob Taylor and Andre Lane both had seven rebounds, and Jeremiah Hanson scored ten points for the Cougs. As a team, CCU shot 65% FG, 57% 3FG, and 69% FT.
