Colorado Christian took on CSU-pueblo on Friday night, but was unable to come away with the victory as they were defeated by a final score of 75-55. The team struggled offensively throughout the game which allowed the Thunderwolves to come away with the win.

The first half was one which had two sides. For the first 12 minutes of the game, it was a battle between both teams as each exchanged the lead several times. With just over eight minutes left in the half, a layup made by
Zach McLemore gave CCU a 23-22 lead. However the last eight minutes of the first half was all CSU-Pueblo as they rattled off a 19-6 run to finish the half and take a 41-29 lead going into the break.

The Cougars finished the first half shooting 37% (11-30) from the field, but were only able to convert on 29% (5-17) of their shots from beyond the three point line.
Jacob Taylor played a big part in the first half coming off of the bench as he led the team with seven points.
Jeremiah Hanson had six points, and
Zach McLemore finished the half with five points.

The shooting woes continued in the second half for CCU as they were unable to get anything going on the offensive side of the ball to try and get them back into the game. The stingy Thunderwolves defense was able to hold the potent Cougar offense down all night long, as they held them to 26 points below their season scoring average. Colorado Christian finished the game shooting 33% (21-63), and 26% (8-31) from downtown.

Jeremiah Hanson finished as the team's leading scorer in the game as he ended up with 11 points.
Zach McLemore was the only other Cougar in double figures as he scored ten points in the game.

The loss drops the Cougars record to 14-12 overall, and 10-10 in conference play. They will be looking to bounce back on Saturday night as they travel down to Gunnison, CO to take on Western State Colorado University. Game time is scheduled for 7PM MST.
