CCU Men's Soccer traveled to Grand Junction on October 20
th, to play the Colorado Mesa Mavericks. The Mavericks, currently second in conference, shutout the Cougars with a score of 2-0.
Both goals for the Mavericks were made in the first half. The first goal for the Mavericks was scored off of an unfortunate own goal on the Cougars in the 18
th minute. Their second goal was scored in the 26
th minute, from 30 yards out.
The Mavericks kept the pressure on the entire game, and put up a total of 21 shots. The Cougars got up 5.

Will Ford had seven saves throughout the match.
The loss puts the Cougars 1-8-2 in conference, and 1-11-3 overall.
The Cougars take to the road and head to Salt Lake City to play Westminster for their last away game of the regular season, on Sunday October 22
nd at 2:30pm.
