The Cougars shot a very impressive 54% from the field and 47% from 3-point range helping them make a run that brought them within 12 points. At one point in the second half the Cougars wouldn't take no for an answer, grabbing four offensive rebounds in the same sequence and ultimately drawing a foul that resulted in two made free throws from sophomore Marcus Fager.
Â
Fager came off the bench to invigorate the Cougars with 12 points, all scored in the second half, seven rebounds, a pair of assists and a block in 22 minutes of work. Also coming up big for the Cougars was redshirt junior
