Colorado Christian Men's Basketball defeated Adams State University by one point on Friday night 74-73. The Cougs traveled to Alamosa, CO to take on the Grizzles who were only one loss behind Christian. After the victory, blue and gold is 13-12 overall and 10-9 in conference.

Christian was a double threat in the first half as
Jacob Taylor scored 12 points in the paint with nine rebounds (three offensive), and then there was
Andre Lane who dominated the arc with 11 points (3-5 3FG). The Grizzles were docile, apart from Bryan Umoru who kept them in the game with his sharp shooting. ASU had one too many turnovers, which gave the Cougs their eight point lead at half time 35-27.

Christian continued to lead in the second half.
Dimitri Saliba and
Ty McGee contributed to the scoreboard with 11 and 9 points for the Cougs. As the time ran down in that final ten minutes, the Grizzles stepped up their game. Around seven minutes left to go, ASU took the lead 61-60 after a stagnant Christian offense. The two squads tied it up at 67s, then 71s. Adams was hitting every bucket from inside and the Cougs started to lose energy on defense.
Dimitri Saliba scored the final layup that put them at 74. ASU fell short in the final seconds of the game by one point.

Jacob Taylor had his second double-double of the year with 17 points and 12 rebounds. He also had three blocks in the game.
Dimitri Saliba had 15 points, and
Andre Lane made 14.
Ty McGee had a team high of eight assists and 11 points.
