Hometown: Fulshear, TX
Volleyball position: Setter
What is your favorite memory in your sport? My favorite memory was when my school team got 1st place at state 3 years in a row. Having the crowd watching and everyone knowing who you were really motivated all of the players. The matches were always high in intensity. Each year it was more and more exciting because all the teams knew who we were and wanted to defeat us.
Who is someone you look up to the most and why? Someone I look up to in the volleyball world is a girl who I watched play at state my freshman year. I never met this girl and still don't know her name, but she had a major impact on me. As I was watching her play I couldn't help but notice her leadership skills. She was a very talented outside hitter but the rest of her team was below average in their skills. What amazed me was despite this obvious difference she encouraged her team and was never selfish or arrogant. After every play she would tell one of the other girls how good of a job they did. Since then I have been inspired to encourage my teammates as much as she did.
What are you most looking forward to about CCU (as a school)? I love how CCU is known to have a great community. I am excited to not only get a higher education but also grow my faith and make lasting friendships.
What are you most looking forward to about CCU (in your sport)? After visiting CCU I could tell the team had a unique closeness with each other. I visited several other colleges but never felt the same loving welcome that I did at CCU. I am excited to be competitive and glorify the Lord at the same time.
Favorite Bible verse? 1 Timothy 4:8, "Physical training is good, but training for godliness is much better, promising benefits in this life and in the life to come."
What are your hopes for the volleyball team within the four years you are at CCU? My hope is to contribute as much as possible to the success of the team. I am very competitive and will give everything I have. Besides winning I also hope to make great friendships with the girls on the volleyball team.

Who is someone you look up to the most and why? My mom. She is a great example of how to react when you win and/or lose. She also played volleyball, so she can relate to my highs and lows very well.
Name one celebrity you would like to meet and why? Bethany Hamilton because of how she overcame what seemed impossible so that she could do something she loved.
What are you most looking forward to about CCU (as a school)? The Christian environment in every activity.
