Colorado Christian University Men's Soccer took on the South Dakota School of Mines Hardrockers on Sunday, September 24
th at 12:00pm. The teams played for the first time this season a little over a week ago on the 15
th, which ended with a score of 5-1 in The Hardrockers favor. Playing through the rain, the final score on today's game was 2-0, again in the Hardrockers favor. The loss now gives CCU a conference record of 1-3-0.
The first half was uneventful, with only nine shots taken and a score of 0-0 going into halftime. SDSMT was able to get up six shots, and Christian got up three.
In the second half the Cougs put up another four shots, but the Hardrockers were able to shoot thirteen which resulted in two finding the back of the net in the final five minutes of play. One was off of a cross pass into the top right of the net and the other was made from one touch off of a corner kick. To match their score, the Hardrockers also dealt two yellow cards.

The Cougars next game will be played at Colorado School of Mines for their first matchup against the Orediggers this season on September 29
th, at 7:30pm.
