CCU Men's Basketball fell to the Westminster Griffins 77-64 on Thursday night.
The Cougs suffered from the Griffins strong defense which currently is the third best defense in the RMAC. The Cougs also suffered from Westminster's #5 Dayon Goodman who is the leading scorer in the RMAC averaging 29 points/game. Goodman had the game high of 24 points on the night. Right behind Goodman was CCU's very own
Stefan Hackethal with 23 points.
Despite the painful first half (29% FG, 27% 3FG, 67% FT), the Cougs made a solid comeback in the second half ending the game shooting 41% FG and 39% from three. The Griffins had such a large lead though, that they still came out with the win 77-64.
The Cougars will play at Western State on Jan. 12
