DENVER – Looking for a fresh start at the start of conference play, the Cougars didn't get what they were desiring.
In their first RMAC game of the season, Colorado Christian fell to Metro State 4-0 on Friday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED: In addition to scoring three goals in the first half, Metro State play stout defense to control the game on their home pitch.
The Roadrunners (2-3, 1-0) opened the scoring in the eighth minute when Benjamin Brill's headed home Cameron Stopforth's corner kick. The home team continued to hold their one-goal lead until the 28th minute when Bryan Amouyal notched his first goal of the season on a left footed boot into the back of the net. Michael Longtine completed the first half scoring with just over six minutes left in the frame as he scored off a rebounded shot originally taken by Rafael Munoz-Vega.
Metro State's lone goal in the second half came off a Jacob Coking shot after a nice crossing feed from Jaydon Moreschini in the 68th minute.
