No. 18 Orediggers Top Cougars 4-0

GOLDEN, Colo. – Looking for an upset to close out the a four-game road trip, the Colorado Christian men's soccer team continued to improve but fell short in the win column.

The Cougars lost to No. 18 Colorado School of Mines 4-0 on a crisp fall Sunday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENDED: The home team got on the scoreboard early when John Haist scored his first goal of the game in the fifth minute. Despite not finding the back of the cage, the Cougars pressured the Orediggers back third with three shots on a frame before Colorado School of Mines made the score 2-0.

In the 28th minute Haist scored on a penalty kick for his league leading 10th goal of the season. Colorado School of Mines took a three-goal edge into the locker room with a goal in the 41st minute by Connor van Loveren.

Haist completed his hat trick in the 56th minute to round out the scoring.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

- Will Ford made the start in goal for the Cougars and made 10 saves

- The Orediggers took an RMAC season high 37 shots
