SALT LAKE CITY, UT – Colorado Christian concluded the Utah road trip today as they battled it out with Westminster.
The game was close contested throughout with the Griffins pulling away with a late goal to secure the 1-0 win.
HOW IT HAPPENED: Westminster started off hot on offense with 21 shots in the first half, despite the onslaught, the Cougars held strong as Ireland VanDyke made five saves.
The game stayed as a tight defensive contest through the rest of the first half and into the second. Westminster broke through the Cougars defense in the 81st minute with a goal to take a 1-0 lead.
With limited time remaining the Cougars were not able to even the score and fell to 0-2 on the road trip.
COUGAR LEADERS: Sarah Butler led the way with two shots for the team, Saige Stock and Sophie Kern both had one shot. VanDyke had six saves in goal for the Cougars.
