WINTER PARK, FL – For Colorado Christian the final stat sheet looked pretty good. Unfortunately the scoreboard did not.
During their final of three games in Florida, the Cougars dropped a 4-0 decision to Rollins on Sunday afternoon.
STATISTICALLY SPEAKING: The Cougars put together a 12-11 overall shot advantage while also creating one more corner kick (7-6) opportunity.
Saige Sock came off the bench to record a team best three total shots while Sarah Feller, Amanda Lopez and Brook-lyn Schultz each took a pair.
GOAL-BY-GOAL: Rollins notched three goals in less than a five-minute span early in the first half to take control of the contest.
Ally Rost scored her first of two goals just over 10 minutes into the contest to begin the scoring. Just over a minute later Kathryn O'Brien found the back of the cage off a Hannah Menard pass. In the 15th minute Rost registered her brace as Menard recorded another assists in the process.
The score remained 3-0 until the 72nd minute when Sarah Buckley found the back of the net for the game's final net-finder.
ON-GOAL EFFORT: Of the Cougars' 12 shots, three of them were on frame as Feller, Lopez and Sock each forced Rollins goalie Elena Beasley to make a save.
UP NEXT: Colorado Christian returns home as they host Colorado Mesa on Friday, Sept. 20 at Trailblazer Stadium. The 11 a.m. kick-off begins the 13-game RMAC schedule for both teams.
