DENVER, CO - Colorado Christian faced off against Regis ending in a 3-1 loss.
HOW IT HAPPENED - Colorado Christian started with a winning mindset but struggled to fine the back of the net. Regis had a few opportunities at the start, but due to the Cougars strong defensive line they were unable to capitalize on them. In the 17th minute a Ranger's forward was passed a ball on the top of the box, she touched the ball to her right foot and blasted a shot into the top right corner.Ā
The Cougars gave up a penalty kick, Ireland Van Dyke's second of the season, with the odds against her Van Dyke saved the shot and is now two-for-two saving penalty kicks this season.
Just seconds before half time, a Regis midfielder took the Cougar's back lineĀ dribbling down the side line. This led to a one-on-one with Van Dyke and a 2-0 lead for the Rangers.
In the 71st minute Regis was able to split the Cougar's back line and send a through ball to Audrey Teague for her second goal of the game. Teague took the ball and fired her shot to the back lower corner. Van Dyke tried to react but was beat back post.Ā

Capri Dewing took away Regis's chance for a shut out when she scored in the upper left corner.
