LAKEWOOD, CO - Two is better than one.
For the first time in school history both the men's and women's cross country teams are headed to the NCAA Division II National Championship race.Â
The championship race is set for Saturday, Nov. 20 in St. Leo, FL on the campus of St. Leo University. The women's race is set to begin at 8:30 a.m. (EDT) with the men's race slated for a 9:45 a.m. (EDT) start.Â
The men's team earned an automatic bid with their
third place finish at the South Central Regional Championships on Saturday in Lubbock, TX. The women's team waited until Monday afternoon until their selection into the national event became official. The women's
placed fifth at the regional championships. It is the second trip to the national meet for the men's program. In 2019 they placed 17th on warm late Saturday morning in Sacramento, CA.Â
Colorado Christian is one of five RMAC teams sending both programs to the National Championships. Also sending both teams are Colorado School of Mines, Adams State, Western Colorado and UCCS. CSU Pueblo earned a berth in the women's championships race.
