ALAMOSA, CO – The Cougars are putting together a season not seen in a generation.
The Colorado Christian men's soccer team posted their fifth win of the season with a 1-0 shutout of Adams State on Thursday afternoon.
For the Cougars they have now won five games for the first time since the 2014 season while posting their most goals (11) through nine games since the 2001 campaign.
HOW IT HAPPENED: On Thursday the Cougars defense made a statement as they didn't allow the Grizzles to register one shot.
In the 36th minute Liam Lakey scored the contest's only goal when he received a pass from Gabe Roloff before depositing the ball into the back of the net. It was the only shot on goal for both teams. Just minutes earlier Roloff came into the game as substitute before making his significant contribution.
Despite their only being five total shots in the match, both teams had set piece opportunities as Colorado Christian had seven corner kicks with Adams State tallying five.
