Cougars Add Another Tie to Their Record

LAKEWOOD, CO -The Cougars will add another double overtime tie to their record. They finished the game 1-1 against Lubbock Christian.

HOW IT HAPPENED - Colorado Christian started the first half strong and kept composed throughout the half. Lubbock Christian struggled to keep possession at first but they quickly settled down their play and showed off their technical abilities. 

The first set piece of the match came in the 23rd minute of the game off a corner kick. The Chaparral's took a low driven corner and a Lubbock Christian forward headed the ball into the back of the net. 

The Cougars did not back down, coming into the second half their level of play increased as well as their energy. In the 65th minute, Freshman Capri Dewing scored her first collegiate goal, unassisted, to tie up the game. Dewing snagged the ball away from Lubbock Christian defenders, took a touch, and fired the ball right over the goalkeeper's head to keep Colorado Christian in the game.
