LAKEWOOD, CO - The Cougars closed out the weekend conceding three goals against MSU Denver while the Roadrunner's were able to keep a clean sheet.
HOW IT HAPPENED - Colorado Christian started off the game with strong defensive skills then started to let up over the course of the match. The Roadrunners had numerous shots in the first half totaling 16 shots, 10 were on goal. Freshman goalkeeper
Keeley Kroonenberg saved seven shots.
The Cougars had two shots in the first half, holding MSU Denver to a 1-0 lead. In the 26th minute Kailey Maness was assisted by Riley Ostler, receiving the ball through the back line and driving it low to the back post.
Coming into the second half Colorado Christian picked up the energy but could not hold the Roadrunner's off for long. In the 55th minute, Katy Harris had an unassisted goal after she dribbled through several defenders, took a touch to the center of the field, and drilled a shot over the head of Kroonenberg.
The third goal for the Roadrunner's came in the 77th minute by Elisa Dean, assisted by Miriam Caballero, the ball was passed from the outside wing, Dean took a touch to the center of the pitch and slotted the ball to the back post.
INTO THE BOXSCORE:

- MSU Denver goalkeeper Kayla Caballero retained a shut out
- Colorado Christian played two freshman for the full 90 minutes
