CHADRON, NE- The Cougars headed to Nebraska to take on Chadron State in their third RMAC series. Colorado Christian came away with a defensive battle victory 2-1 and followed that up with a more comfortable 8-1 victory in game two.

GAME ONE
Pitching was the story in game one of the day, as both teams struggled offensively. The Eagles struck first in the second with a solo homer to take a 1-0 lead. That would be all they would get all game. The Cougars tied it up in the fourth as Sami Edwards brought home Kayla Middleton with a single up the middle. 

The game remained tied into the seventh when Edwards led off the inning with a triple and came home on a Taylor Olsen single. Alexis Hamilton finished business from there as she closed out a complete game victory. Hamilton allowed just three hits, one run, and struck out 11 Eagles in a dominant display from the mound. 

GAME TWO
Runs came more easily for the Cougars in the second game, starting in the first with an RBI single from Sydney Reamer. Logan Menzies tacked on two more in the fourth with a blast to right center as her team took a 3-0 lead. 

Piper Lujan picked up an RBI fly out to score Edwards, but Chadron State responded with a run in their half of the fifth to make it 4-1. The runs continued for Colorado Christian in the sixth, starting with a two RBI single from Kenzie Middleton. Sydney Reamer picked up two more RBI with a single to make it 8-1 as the Cougars cruised to another victory. 

Abrie Castillo pitched six innings, allowing one run on three hits and five strikeouts. Sydney Rawlings closed things out with a save in the seventh including a strikeout. 

UP NEXT- Colorado Christian will close play at Chadron State with another doubleheader on March 13 with the games set for 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
