Record Breaking Team Snatches Another Win

LAKEWOOD, CO – After a record-breaking game yesterday, the Cougars took the victory ending the series with the score of 21-6, another record high for runs.

HOW IT HAPPENED – A slow start for the Cougars as the Adam State Grizzlies take the 2-0 lead in the first inning. Robby Caro threw the first three innings, only giving up two runs. Cole Kennedy was named the winning pitcher.

In the bottom of the third inning, Colorado Christian turned it around scoring four runs. Gabe Ramos scored the Cougars first run of the game when Caden Walton hit a line drive right up the middle of the field. Wyatt Crenshaw and Walton both made game changing defensive plays throughout the game.

JC Watne closed out the game. The left-handed pitcher led the team to a win. The team's seventh inning pump up song gave them the boost they needed to finish the game strong, scoring 11 additional runs. Ramos notched his second home run of the game in the bottom of the seventh.

Crenshaw hit a home run off the first pitch in the bottom of the eighth inning. Following Crenshaw's lead, eight more runs followed totaling nine runs in just the bottom of the eighth. Watne quickly ended the ninth inning and broke Colorado Christian's save record, notching seven saves.
