LAKEWOOD, CO – Colorado Christian faced the Thunderwovles in an intense high scoring double header. They reached new heights as they broke school records and entered the record leader boards.
GAME ONE – It was a slow start for both the Cougars and the Thunderwolves. However,
Wyatt Crenshaw gave everyone a show as he fired the first home run bringing home
Caden Walton and Frankie Shearn.
In the bottom of the third inning Colorado Christian gained an eight-run advantage.
Major Maydon gave the Cougars the motivation they needed as he slammed a three-run home run. Right after that,
Caden Walton homered notching two more RBI's.
Jordan Medina continued their home run streak adding another two RBI's.
To start the bottom of the fourth,
Gabe Ramos started the team off strong by hitting a single home run. Bases were loaded with Walton, Shearn, and Crenshaw; Medina tallied four RBI with his grand slam. The Cougars kept CSU Pueblo with just one run for five innings.
Medina was able to break the school's record for single game RBI's with eight, this record has not been broken since 2011. Not only does Medina hold the school record for RBI's, he is now tied at first for the single game home run record notching three today.
The team as a whole entered the leader board in the record book with 22 hits, knocking out the 2008 and 2010 record. They are also tied at first place with the record of home runs in a single game with the record of seven.

GAME TWO – Neck and neck for the first three innings, the Cougars lost their edge in the fifth inning. Adding to their home run totals,
Russell Cruz, Medina, and Crenshaw all tallied another one.
The bottom of the third, they gained their lead back.
Boedy Flores hit a ground-rule double advancing Ramos to third. When
Eli Ludwig came up to bat he was able to get to second, allowing Ramos and Flores to score. Shearn tripled leading Walton to score. It was looking good for the Cougars.
A home run and grand slam in the fifth inning put the Cougars back and they were not able to recover. Their offensive skill kept them in the game but could not tackle the Thunderwolves on defense.
