LAKEWOOD,CO- Colorado Christian closed their series against CSU Pueblo with an afternoon matchup on Sunday. Despite a good battle, the Thunderwolves came away with the victory by a final of 8-5.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Cougars struck first, plating a run on an RBI single from Wyatt Crenshaw in the first inning. CSU Pueblo responded in the third with a two-run bomb to take the lead 2-1. Colorado Christian came right back in the fourth with a response of their own, plating two runs to snag the lead back.
Major Maydon smacked an RBI single to left center to score Gabe Ramos, and Kade Carney scored Russell Cruz with a single of his own as they took the lead 3-2 after four. Jordan Medina blessed a solo homer in the fifth to stretch the lead to 4-2 heading into the sixth.
The Thunderwolves made their move in the top half of the sixth, starting with a two RBI double to tie things at four. A couple more hits brought three more across the dish as the lead grew to 8-4. An RBI groundout from Medina in the seventh was not enough as the Cougars fell by a score of 8-5 in the series finale.
UP NEXT- Colorado Christian will be back at home to face Colorado Mesa on April 29 with first pitch scheduled for 3 p.m.
