SPEARFISH, S.D.- Following a two game road-trip to Florida, Colorado CHristian remained on the road, this time heading to South Dakota to take on Black Hills State. In a match that featured a lengthy lightning delay, the Cougars fell in the end by a final score of 1-0.
HOW IT HAPPENED- The Yellowjackets started fast, scoring a little over a minute into the game for the early lead. Kinley Sanders got off a shot to force a save to prevent an equalizer and moments later Molly Miller and Jessica Sims forced two more saves. The barrage continued as Skylee Deladurantaye and Sanders forced another pair of saves on several more shots. Said Stock and Capri Dewing missed barely on a few looks and Kiana Fen forced yet another save from the Black Hills State keeper before halftime ended with the Yellowjackets ahead 1-0.
After a longer halftime than usual due to lightning, the two teams took the field again for a second half battle.
