Colorado Christian Drop Match at MSU Denver

DENVER, CO- The Cougars finished their roadtrip at MSU Denver on Sunday. An early goal from the Roadrunners paved the way to a 2-0 victory for the hosts.

HOW IT HAPPENED- MSU Denver pressured early, forcing keeper Alana Lopp to make a quick save. The offense broke through for the Roadrunners in the fourth minute as they took a 1-0 lead. Ashleigh Willette took the lone shot of the first half as a staunch backline held the Cougars at bay.

Saige Stock began the second period well, taking several shots and forcing a save from the MSU Denver goalie. The two teams battled back and forth from there until the Roadrunners tacked on a second goal in the 71st minute to take the 2-0 advantage. The offense could never quite get it going for Colorado Christian as a Jessica Sims shot missed late and the hosts won by a final score of 2-0.
