LAKEWOOD, CO- The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) announced their women's soccer All Conference Honors on Tuesday, and after a stellar season for the team, five Cougars earned distinctions for their efforts on the pitch.
Ava Dinverno claimed second team honors as she used her talents to put together an excellent year for herself and the team. With her blazing fast speed and ability to blow by defenders, Ava scored four goals and had four assists to help her team to the RMAC tournament for the first time since 2018. Dinverno put 17 shots on goal and played in all 18 contests for her team.
Justine Moreau added to her list of honors after getting First Team Academic All RMAC yesterday with a second team nod on Tuesday. The skilled junior led the Cougars in goals with a tally of five, chipping in three assists for a team high 13 points. Moreau put 12 shots on goal and played in 16 games this season for a team that is gaining momentum in the conference.
Capri Dewing garnered an Honorable Mention for her work on the pitch as the senior was a key piece to the success at CCU in 2024. Dewing scored two goals and notched three assists on the season as she was always around the ball and in a dangerous attacking position. Capri led the team with 19 shots on goal and competed in every single game for her team this season.
Senior
Hannah Mares earned Honorable Mention after she transferred to CCU from Fort Hays State and made an immediate impact. A selfless player who always puts her team in the best position to win, Mares recorded a team high five assists this season to go along with a pair of goals. With 11 shots on goal, Hannah played in all 18 games this season and helped guide CCU to their first conference tournament berth in six years.
Newcomer
Ava Schock earned a spot on the Honorable Mention list as she was an impactful player for CCU in her first year of collegiate soccer. Playing in all 18 games for a total of 1,340 minutes, Schock scored a goal and picked up an assist in addition to playing stellar defense all year long. Part of a unit that tallied three clean sheets on the season, Ava will be a special player for the Cougars in the years to come.
