LAKEWOOD, CO- The College Sports Communicators (CSC) have announced their Academic All-District® teams for volleyball, and Renee Phillips has earned the honor after an excellent junior season where she excelled in her sport and in her studies.
The Academic All-District® teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes volleyball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.
Phillips was stellar in her third season with the Cougars, helping lead them to their second ever NCAA Regional berth and their first RMAC Tournament Title game in program history. At the net Renee tallied 83 blocks, with 19 of those being solo blocks. Her attack percentage of .344 is the second most in a single season in CCU program history. With 21 service aces, Phillips contributed in all facets of the game for her team as they enjoyed their best season since 2012.
