BOULDER CITY, NV- Colorado Christian began their spring season March 4-5 at Boulder Creek Golf Course in the Las Vegas Desert Classic. With high winds forcing the teams to play 36 holes on Monday and the regularly scheduled 18 on Tuesday, the Cougars played exceptionally well, claiming a fourth place finish amongst the field of 20 highly talented and nationally ranked teams. Adam Duncan was tremendous through the three rounds of play, shooting a final score of -13 to claim the individual title. 

ROUND ONE
Duncan came out firing from the start, shooting six birdies en route to a 69. Xavier Bighaus was the best on his team in round one, firing six birdies for a 67. Peyton Jones followed with a strong 72, followed by Dylan Arthur with a 74. Bradley Mulder closed the round with a final score of 78. 

ROUND TWO
Duncan kept his foot on the gas in the second round, lowering his score with six more birdies for a 67. Bighaus and Arthur shot 74s, while Jones tallied a consistent 73. Mulder closed day one out with a 75. 

ROUND THREE
Duncan put on one more masterclass in round three, firing an incredible eight birdies on his way to a 67 and a final score of -13 throughout the tournament. Adam edged out the competition to claim the title by a stroke in a highly competitive field of golfers. Bighaus shot a final round 71 to finish -4 on the tourney to tie for 13th. Arthur and Jones shot 70 and 73 respectively as the teammates tied for 34th overall, while a final round score of 70 from Mulder gave him a tie for 60th. 

As a team, the Cougars claimed fourth out of the 20 teams competing. The field was filled with nationally ranked teams, including 9 in the top 25 and 4 in the top 10. 

With a strong start to the spring season, CCU will continue play on April 5-6 at the Hot Dirt Desert Shootout at Golf Club of Estrella in Goodyear, AZ.
