GRAND JUNCTION, CO- Track and Field headed to the RMAC Championships hosted by Colorado Mesa Friday through Sunday. The team posted some strong results among the conference as some Provisional Times were set as the season winds towards Nationals.

For the women, Hannah George began in the 100m with a run of 12.27. George also ran in the 200m, posting a time of 25.37. Tara Smoker was stellar in the 400m, taking seventh place with a time of 57.23. Ava Maginity ran in the 1500m, posting a time of 4:51.26 in the competitive event. Lucy Pidek and Callie Ketner took part in the lengthy 5000m, running times of 17:59.00 and 18:08.02. Callie Ketner and Elizabeth Cochran ran in the 10k, posting times of 37:41.29 and 38:14.54. Hanna Zugich posted a time of 1:10.36 in the 400m hurdles, The foursome of George, Ashley Vil, Madeline Schmeling and Tara Smoker ran in the 4x100m with a time of 48.95. Vil also took part in the triple jump, leaping a distance of 10.71m. 

For the men, Jacob Marker and Jonah Beard participated in the 400m, posting times of 52.32 and 52.38 respectively. In the 1500m, Hudson Majeski was excellent, running an altitude converted time of 3:45.93 to take fourth and place him at 22nd on the NCAA Provisional Qualifying List. Mateo Luna was strong in the 1500m as well, claiming 8th with a run of 3:47.81 for 38th in the country. Isaac Roberts and Jay Wood took part in the 10k, posting runs of 32:14.62 and 32:17.77 respectively. 

As the regular season comes to a close, there is a plethora of athletes with NCAA Provisional Times, and they will await selection to the National Championships May 23-25 in Emporia, Kansas.
