LAKEWOOD, CO- The Cougars celebrated Favorite Professor Day on Sunday afternoon as they closed a four game homestand with a matchup against CSU Pueblo. The two teams battled hard throughout, but neither team could break through as the final whistle blew on a 0-0 tie.
Both teams got off early shots in the first half, but neither found their targets. As the half continued, CSUP got off a few more shots as they forced a
Mia Mares save.
Brooke Dunham took a late look that sailed wide right as halftime arrived with the score 0-0.
Another Mares save started the second half, and both teams substituted to try and create a spark often in the final period.
Noelle Mingo had a shot on goal that was saved in the final five minutes of play, and a last gasp attempt from
Justine Moreau did not find the netting as the teams played to a scoreless draw.
CCU will now head to South Dakota to take on Black Hills State on October 17 with kickoff slated for 7 p.m. MDT.
