DURANGO, CO- Colorado Christian traveled down to Durango for a Halloween night matchup at Fort Lewis. An early goal from the Skyhawks was enough as they tacked on a second half goal for the 2-0 defeat for CCU.
The Skyhawks broke through in the 4th minute of play, and they continued to pressure offensively with the 1-0 lead.
Justine Moreau had a look on goal in the 28th, but the FLC keeper made a strong save. The teams battled to the half with the hosts holding onto the 1-0 advantage.
After a scoreless stanza to start the second half, Fort Lewis scored a second goal in the 72nd minute as they took control.
Claire Leight had a late look, but in the end the hosts proved too much in the 2-0 setback for the Cougars.
Colorado Christian will continue play on November 2 at Western Colorado with kickoff set for 12 p.m. MDT.
